Just going to paste a bit of something here to test this out:
Legendary Race
(The Elementi Series - Book Three)
Onisepla was surrounded. The five men closing in on him watched his every move. Their deathly sharp swords glinted under the bright globe lights. But he wasn’t afraid. He had wanted this.
In his hand, Onisepla elegantly grasped a simple three foot long pole with what resembled a curved sword blade attached to the end. They awaited his first strike, but he was no fool. He could be patient.
Finally, the opponent on his flank leapt forward, his face a mask of concentration. Onisepla swung his weapon down in an arch, blocking the blow. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see another opponent on the move. Onisepla dodged right.
Then, two opponents came at him from either side. That was a mistake. With a simple step backward, his opponents now came face to face and almost collided. Needing to clear some room, he swung his weapon around, forcing everyone to jump back.
Onisepla knew that a target that stood still would end up a dead one. But every move must be economical or his opponents would wear him down quickly. So, he took the best route possible. Using his longer weapon to keep the others at bay, he singled each one out in turn.
He feinted a strike to the first man’s neck and as the man brought his sword up high to block the blow, Onisepla swung his weapon lower to slash across the man’s stomach. The man stumbled back and fell, now out of the fight.
With the adrenaline coursing through him, it was getting hard to control himself. But he knew he must.
