Soft Delete

This modification allows you to soft delete posts and topics on your phpBB3 board.

Instead of the normal hard deletion on the first go posts and topics are all soft deleted first, if they are deleted a second time (you must have the new m_harddelete permission) then they get permanently deleted.

Report bugs and issues to the tracker.

Starting with 1.0.15, you must be running >= phpBB 3.0.6 to install this. If you are still running phpBB 3.0.5 or earlier, follow the instructions in contrib/install_phpBB305.xml



Warning: A number of bugs seem to exist when using this with newer versions of phpBB, it IS NOT RECOMMENDED that you use this modification anymore.

Some images of what happens when a post is soft deleted (the post is all together hidden if the user can not delete posts and the post is not their own)

(the colors have been changed as of 1.0.7 to the reported color)

(the link to undelete the post is in post deleted message, and the delete icon is shown again where it normally is if the user has permission to hard delete posts)

This is what you would see on viewforum with a deleted topic:
