Anti Spam How To

Postby Backlash » Wed Nov 21, 2007 7:13 am

I just installed the Anti-Spam mod to my forum, but spammers are still getting through. I obviously don't have my settings correct. How do I use the control panel that was installed with the admin page?

The settings are pretty much self explanatory. I have not made any guides to using it however. If you don't understand a few of them let me know which ones and I'll let you know.

Could you give a bit more detail about what you are talking about and what the options were?

Sorry, but I haven't done anything with the mod for many months, and I only use phpBB3 now.

Theres stuff on the left that lists all the things people enter when they register, and then to the right of each of these things are options that read as follows.

Always Off
Off For Registration
Always On

Set According to Post Count

Oh, that enables/disables that field until the user has meet the requirements you set there.

For example (this does not apply to moderators or administrators, the fields are always available for them)
Always off - means the field is never available to fill out
Off for registration - means they can fill it in after they register, but not during
Always on - means they can always fill the field in, including during registration
Set according to post count - requires the users to have at least the number of posts you set in the post count field before the field is able to be filled in
