Re: Advertisement Ad placement questions

Postby magicfun » Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:39 am

sorry about my delayed response. I tried to make my ad placements...tell me if I am doing this right.

I made a placements:
{ads_12} - row 2
{ads_13} - row 3
{ads_14} - row 4
{ads_15} - row 5

then I made each of my banner ads and assigned them to each of these rows. Is this what you do? How to code them up so they work?

Wouldn't it be possible to have something in this advertisement mod that displays a banner (ad) in each post row, but not duplicate the previous ad? That is what I am trying to do. So it would take the next ad available, but not a duplicate. So I could assign all of my ads to display 'after every post', but they would not be the same ad. Make sense?

Yes, you just add the {ADS_(x)} code to where you want in the template and add the position through the ACP.

The advertisements show are chosen at random, there is no option built in to prevent duplication

Has this feature been added? I am looking to display all my ads in my posts, but not to duplicate a previous ad. Can this be done?
