In phpBB 3.0.6 many changes were made to the smiley pages and as a result, Smilies Categories will not be compatible with 3.0.6. Femu has created a package for 3.0.6 and released it, read this post for more information.



This mod allows you to add and select categories for smilies. On the smilies popup on the posting page you can select from the list of categories with a drop down box.

You may select multiple categories for each smiley.

Install time is about 10 minutes and I'd say is easy.

You can set a default category for it to select if you'd like (that way you could control which smilies you want shown in the initial popup as well).

In includes/functions_posting.php:

Find:

$cat_id = request_var('cat_id', 0);

Change the 0 to whatever the category ID is from the category you want shown.

For 3.0.6
3.0.6 is not supported in the latest release I have made, however, femu has released a package for 3.0.6.

I have not tested this package and support for this package will not be given here, use at your own risk.
